Kate Barnett is based at the Abbotsford Convent Arts and Culture Precinct in Melbourne, where she teaches the Alexander Technique, InterPlay and Yoga. Her work is also influenced by an approach of experiential movement research inspired by Body-Mind Centering® and dance improvisation. She loves the way her different disciplines interweave to support each other, and the way improvisation brings us alive to the whole. In her practice she is interested to facilitate embodiment discovery and creative integration so that we can more easily follow the ‘yes!’ in our lives. She is skilled in assisting the nuances of performance process, and in providing mentoring and coaching.
In addition to her Alexander, InterPlay and Yoga qualifications, Kate has a BA (Hons) in Social Ecology.
