Interplay Australia's statement supporting the “Uluru Statement from the Heart”:
We would like to acknowledge that the land that we live on today around Australia is the traditional land for a diverse range of First Nation Peoples, and that we respect their spiritual relationship with their country. We acknowledge the various first nation groups as the traditional owners and custodians of the local regions, and that their cultural heritage is equally important to the living First Nation Peoples today as it was to their ancient Ancestors.
"We live with gratitude on the land respecting Elders, past and present along with emerging leaders.
As such we ask you to join us in supporting the "Uluru Statement from the Heart" seeking Voice, Treaty and Truth."
